The Ashtanga approach is composed of energetic series of poses linked to the breath in a moving meditation. It is often referred to as the original 'power' yoga. Ashtanga uses sun salutations to build heat and detoxify the body and then moves through a series of poses designed to heat, clean, open and purify the body and mind. In the beginners or all levels classes our teachers will modify the sequence, but it follows the main line of the Primary Series. In these classes the teacher takes more time to dive deeper into the fundamentals of certain postures. In a level 3 classes you do the full Primary Series. Energetically: Yang
